With the authorization from Shenzhen Municipal Science and Technology Innovation Council, Shenzhen Zhong Hengxi Assets Appraisal Limited held a meeting at Sunsea's conference room 1 on April 16,2012, to carry out science and technology appraisal for Sunsea's MC optical fiber connectors.
Optical fiber connectors can implement active connections between optical fibers. Because the product structure adopts compact design and high-performance materials are used, the dimensions are greatly reduced and only a half of the minimum LC or MU. Therefore, the installation density increases by one time. In appraisal experts' opinions, MC optical fiber connectors are currently the minimum one-chip connectors in the world, and their performance has reached or exceeded that of other similar products. In addition, the product has reached a leading level in China and advanced level in the world. Therefore, the product has passed the science and technology appraisal.
MC optical fiber connectors are researched and developed by project team B of Sunsea's Development Department. They cost about two years time and concentrate strong support of Sunsea's leaders and joint efforts of team members. They are the first fiber optical connectors whose intelligence property is processed by China. Their emergence breaks the monopoly of international enterprises, fills the technology blank of China, and drives the development of precision machining, ultra-precision machining, and other basic industries. Therefore, they have very positive and profound social significance.
After industrialization, the project can be widely used in FTTH large-scale construction, intelligent data center rooms, interfaces of high-density switching and transmission equipment, interfaces of micro optical devices, and interconnection of optical devices in narrow space. Its successful development lays a solid foundation for Sunsea to keep the leading position in the domestic and international markets and to develop more powerful.
